Sam Kaufmann is an Emmy-nominated composer, guitarist, and audio producer whose three-decade career spans television, film, and global advertising. At age 15, he filled in as guitarist for jazz legend Maynard Ferguson. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Kaufmann moved to Los Angeles and was hired by Michael Jackson for the HIStory project.
He went on to compose for landmark television series including Sightings, Biography, and Modern Marvels—the latter over a 20-year span. His compositions have been heard on every major network and streaming platform, and he has created music for leading global brands such as Nike and Lexus.
He has worked with musical legends including Maynard Ferguson, New Kids, Michael Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, Gary Moon/Night Ranger, The Blue Cheer Reboot, Brian Duprey, Psych, Top Hat, Verdugo, and Big Band Theory Big Bands.
